Make a banner, use it anywhere
Once you've made a banner ad using Canned Banners, you can run it on any website or ad network that accepts Flash ads. Below are a few ad networks we recommend checking out. If you have any questions, just contact us.
Canned Banners partner ad networks
AdRoll specializes in retargeting, but they also offer the ability to buy ad space from a long list of websites. They have a self-serve campaign builder that lets you set budgets, choose target demographics, and select which ads you want to run. AdRoll offers a 2-week free trial of their retargeting services, and after that their minimum spend is $25 a week.
As you might suspect from their name, ReTargeter specializes in retargeting. They have a minimum spend of $500 per month.
Digital Throttle is a vertical ad network that represents a large number of motorsports and automotive websites. They specialize in creating targeted campaigns for companies that sell motorsports products and services. Best of all, Canned Banners is free for Digital Throttle customers.
Blogads specializes in blog advertising, connecting you with the social media elite. They have an easy self-serve system that lets you build targeted ad campaigns from start to finish across any of their 3,500+ blogs. You'll be purchasing ad space on a flat rate basis per week, which means you'll pay a fee for your ad to sponsor the site during that time frame.
Other ad networks we recommend
Google AdWords is a completely self-serve system. You can upload Canned Banners ads in the same interface you would use to create Google text ads. Google AdWords is completely pay-per-click ("PPC" or "CPC"), so you only pay when someone clicks your ads. They have no minimum budget. Google also offers retargeting. The biggest downside is that the interface is clunky, so make sure to experiment with settings and options to uncover features as you go along.
Ad Desk is a self-serve banner advertising platform run by AOL. Ad Desk has a clean, easy-to-use interface and some really neat features to let you target different demographic groups. However, the daily minimum is $100. You can run your banners on a CPM or CPC basis. Ad Desk doesn't offer self-serve retargeting. Their ad specs are here.
Federated Media has a very handsome self-serve system that you can use to buy ad space across a wide variety of topical blogs and websites. With Federated Media, you'll be purchasing ads on a "CPM" (cost-per-thousand) basis, which means you'll pay a certain flat rate, say $10 CPM, for your ads to be shown 1,000 times. The CPM rate will depend on the website.
